This Symposium

"The 21st COE International Symposium on the Linear Response Theory in Commemoration of its 50th Anniversary -- Recent Development of Equilibrium and Non-Equilibrium Response --", will be held on Monday, 5th - Wednesday 7th, November, 2007 at Koshiba Hall in the Hongo campus of the University of Tokyo, Japan.

The physics community in the University of Tokyo (the physics department and other institutes including ISSP) is now undertaking a five-year project, 21st COE (21st century center-of-excellence) program

Now, since this year is the 50th anniversary since Professor Ryogo Kubo published his celebrated paper on the linear reasponse theorem, we intend to organize a symposium, under the auspice of the 21st COE, to review the recent developments in the dynamical and non-equilibrium properties in the field.

Main body of the symposium will be invited talks, along with a poster session.
